Taos Map

A Taos map is especially useful when you want to know how the town is laid out and where it's located relative to nearby communities. First, zoom in as far as you can. In the center of the city map you should see the intersection of Paseo Del Pueblo Sur and Kit Carson Road. This is pretty much the center of town. Just to the left of the intersection is Don Fernando Street which runs along the north side of the Taos Plaza. You can see S. Plaza and E. Plaza right there as well. This is the spiritual center of town and an important reference point. Just to the north is Bent Street where many upscale art galleries are located. Two blocks further north is Civic Plaza Drive. The convention center straddles this street. Now zoom out about six ticks and a circle will appear. That's the Enchanted Circle, a scenic day long drive guaranteed to reveal why so many artists live and work in Taos County. Isn't it amazing how much one can learn from a simple map of Taos, New Mexico?
